We organize “glamping safaris” (glamping is a portmanteau of “glamorous” and “camping”, and describes a style of camping with amenities and, in some cases, resort-style services). It is a safari in large traditional canvas tents, with beds and en-suite bathrooms (with hot bucket showers and long-drop toilets), dining tent with table, chairs, etc., and with all meals crafted by well trained chefs and drinks included (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
It is usually a group safari with the participation of 3 to 6 couples. In these cases, there is already a pre-planned, but customizable route, in parks or natural reserves, from 6 to 21 days (or more) and where one spends an average of 3 nights in each place; then, the camp is dismantled and set up in the next place. Generally, sites with different landscapes and variety of animals are chosen. Tailor-designed journeys for one or more couples area also possible.
The camping sites are absolutely isolated from each other, sometimes miles away. Specially designed and built safari vehicles are used, which allow a full view of the landscape and wildlife. It is a safari in intimate contact with nature where you wake up to the sounds of a myriad of birds, experience eye-to-eye contact with the wildlife and fall asleep to the sweet sounds of the bush, from crickets to laughing hyenas to roaring lions.
