Tanzania Itinerary (Northern Circuit, calving season. Jan-Feb)
The northern circuit in Tanzania include some of the best wildlife sightings in East Africa and also some of the best accommodations. In this classic route, usually starting from Arusha, you can explore a number of national parks and reserves like: Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Norongoro Conservation Area and, finally, the famous Serengeti.
Other less visited sites are the Arusha National Park, Lake Natron and for trekking and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Sample Itinerary 12 nights

Days 2-4 Drive to Tarangire National Park. Stay 3 nights at Oliver’s Camp. Magnificent for Elephants; also many antelopes and predators.

Days 7-9 Drive to Lake Ndutu in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop in the way to experience some African culture in a Masai village with their colorful attire and dances. Stop at the Oldupai (Olduvai) Gorge, the place where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leaky discovered the first hominids, and learn about our ancient past at the small museum. Game-drive to Ndutu. Arrive to Olakira Migration Camp (3 nights) for another two full days of game-driving to watch the Great Migration during the calving season.
Days 10-12 Last early morning drive in Ndutu. After breakfast game-drive to the Moru Kopjes in the magnificent Serengeti. Stay 3 nights at Dunia Camp. While staying here there is an opportunity for a hot-air balloon sunrise flight over the Serengeti (additional fee).
